The Alberta Elite Hockey League is pleased to present AEHL Rinkside, hosted by Troy Gillard, featuring players and coaches from the AEHL every month.
This edition features Red Deer U18 AAA Chiefs defenceman Kaiden Ellertson.
Ellertson is in his second season with the U18 AAA Chiefs, following two seasons with the Red Deer U15 AAA Rebels. He suited up for Team Alberta U16 Male at the 2019 WHL Cup, played in the 2019 Alberta Cup, and won the 2017 Peewee Prospects Cup with Team South Black.
Not only was Ellertson drafted 96th overall by the Brandon Wheat Kings in the 2019 WHL Draft, but he also recently became the first ever signing by the AJHL’s newest franchise, the Blackfalds Bulldogs.
