AEHL teams facing off against Team Alberta

RED DEER – Four Alberta Elite Hockey League (AEHL) teams are taking on Team Alberta this weekend.

To prepare both the  Alberta Female and U16 Male team for the elite competition they will face at the Canada Winter Games, the squads will play exhibition games versus AEHL teams during their December Camp.  All games will be played in Red Deer at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre.

Action will begin on Friday, December 16, with the U15 AAA Okotoks Oilers will take on Team Alberta Female at 7 P.M., the Leduc LJAC U15 AAA Oil Kings will cap off the weekend on Sunday to play Team Alberta Female at 3 P.M.

The U18 AAA Red Deer Optimist Chiefs will meet the Alberta U16 Male team on home ice at 4:30 P.M. on Saturday. While the St. Albert U18 AAA Nektar Raiders will travel south on Sunday to meet the Team Alberta U16 Male at 12 P.M.

Eight AEHL players will suit up for the Alberta U16 Male team. The Canada Winter Games take place February 18 – March 5 in Prince Edward Island.
