The SEAC Tigers U17 AAA team in the Alberta Elite Hockey League hosted its annual Cancer Awareness Game on Sunday, November 19.
Together with the Calgary Bulls, the Tigers recognized and honoured those who have fought, are fighting, or have won the battle against cancer. Through team-made caramel popcorn sales, a 50/50, a silent auction, and donations, a total of $5734.35 was raised. All of the proceeds will be donated to the Margery E Yuill Cancer Centre in Medicine Hat.
This money will be used to transport local patients for treatment that is not offered in Medicine Hat.
